About First Reviewers
Independent software reviews for small businesses, written by the person who paid for and used every tool on this site.
Hey, I am Rishabh Sharma, and I run software.firstreviewers.com. I started First Reviewers after watching too many business owners spend real money on software chosen from reviews written by people who never opened the product.
Most software review sites fall into one of two traps. Either the writer never used the tool and is rewording a features page, or the ranking quietly follows whichever program pays the best commission. Neither of those helps you decide anything. This site exists to be the third option.
What makes this site different
Every tool recommended here has been signed up for, paid for, and used. Usually for weeks, sometimes for months. That is where the useful information lives, and it is why these reviews say things a sales page never will:
- What the onboarding is actually like, and how long it really takes
- Where the tool falls short, because nothing is perfect at this price
- Whether the free plan is genuinely usable or a trial wearing a costume
- Which pricing tier makes sense at your size, and what it costs at ten users
- The gotchas nobody mentions until you are already migrated in
How tools get tested
The same six steps run on every product, in the same order, every time:
- Sign up like a customer. Full price, standard plan, no vendor special treatment. We see exactly what you would see.
- Complete the full onboarding. We time the setup and note every friction point, from account creation to the first real task.
- Use it on real work. Two to four weeks of daily use minimum, longer for the in-depth comparisons.
- Test what small businesses need. Pipelines, campaigns, invoices, and the daily jobs you actually hire software to do, not enterprise features you would never switch on.
- Contact support with real questions. We submit genuine tickets and measure how fast and how well each company answers.
- Compare total cost honestly. Hidden fees, per-user charges, and upgrade pressure all land in the final verdict.
What this site covers
Five categories, chosen because they are where small businesses spend the most and get the worst advice: CRM software, email marketing, project management, AI tools, and accounting software. Everything here is written for teams of roughly 1 to 50 people. If you are shopping for enterprise procurement, this is the wrong site, and that is deliberate.
Editorial independence
The reviews are opinions formed from testing. This site uses affiliate links, which means we may earn a commission if you buy through them at no extra cost to you. That funding never influences a rating or a ranking, and no vendor gets to see, review, or approve a review before it publishes.
If a tool is not worth the money, that is what the review says, even when the commission on it is the highest in the category. The full details are on the affiliate disclosure page.
How prices stay accurate
Software pricing changes constantly, so every page that recommends a purchase gets a price check on a monthly cycle, and every article carries a visible last-updated date. If you find a price that has drifted, telling us is genuinely helpful, and it gets fixed the same week.
Part of the First Reviewers network
This site is the software arm of First Reviewers, an independent review network for small businesses. More niches are on the way, all run the same way: buy it, use it, publish the truth.
